Download & export
Export corrected data as Standard CSV or Shopify product CSV from preview or the imports list.
Download export gives you a corrected file after validation and editing — without running the final import. Use it to share clean data with other systems or as a backup before importing.
Where to download
You can export from two places:
- Import preview — click Download CSV in the toolbar while reviewing data
- Imports list — click Download CSV on an import card when review is available
Both locations offer the same export formats.
Export formats
Click Download CSV to open the format menu:
| Format | Best for |
|---|---|
| Standard CSV | General use, spreadsheets, and systems that accept a flat CSV |
| Shopify product CSV | Importing or updating products in Shopify |
Choose the format that matches your destination platform.
What is included in the export
Exported files reflect:
- Your original data after column mapping
- All saved edits (cell changes, bulk edits, added rows)
- Row deletions you have saved
Unsaved changes are not included. Save your work first — see Save & discard.
Export process
- Click Download CSV.
- Select Standard CSV or Shopify product CSV.
- Wait while the file is prepared (the button may show "Preparing…").
- Your browser downloads the file automatically.
The downloaded file name is based on your original upload name.
Export with validation errors
You can typically export even when errors remain — useful for sharing progress with a colleague or working offline. However, the exported file still contains invalid data until you fix errors in preview.
For a clean handoff, resolve all errors before exporting.
Shopify format notes
The Shopify product CSV follows Shopify's expected column structure so you can upload it directly to Shopify Admin or a compatible tool. Verify a small sample in Shopify before importing very large catalogs.
Tip: Export after saving as a checkpoint before running Import now — you will have a local copy of exactly what will be imported.
