Quick start
A step-by-step walkthrough from creating an import to downloading or importing corrected data.
This guide walks you through a complete import from start to finish. Allow 10–20 minutes for a first run, depending on file size and how many issues need fixing.
Before you begin
Prepare a CSV or Excel file with a header row. If you are unsure about column names, that is fine — you will map them in a later step.
Supported import types:
- Products — catalog and inventory fields (name, SKU, brand, quantity, price, etc.)
- Stock quantities — on-hand stock updates
- Min-Max quantities — replenishment thresholds
Step 1 — Open Imports
After signing in, go to Imports from the main navigation. This is your dashboard for every file you have uploaded.
Step 2 — Start a new import
- Choose New import (or equivalent action from the imports page).
- Select the import type that matches your file.
- Upload your CSV or XLSX file.
Import Ready reads the file and prepares it for column matching. You will see status updates on the import card as processing completes.
Step 3 — Match columns
- Open Match columns for your import.
- For each row, choose which field in Import Ready your file column represents (for example, map
Variant SKU→ SKU). - Resolve any mapping errors shown on the page (duplicate mappings, required fields left empty).
- Click Continue, review the summary, and confirm.
Validation runs automatically. When it finishes, the import moves to Review data.
Step 4 — Review and fix in Import preview
- Open Review data to enter the preview grid.
- Check the Issues badge — it shows how many errors and warnings remain.
- Click issues to jump to the affected row and column.
- Edit cells directly or use Actions → Bulk edit column for repeated fixes.
- Use Actions → Delete lines to remove rows you do not want to import.
- Use Actions → Add line if something is missing from the file.
When the error count reaches zero and you are happy with the data, proceed to save.
Step 5 — Save your changes
If you edited anything, an Unsaved changes bar appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Click Save changes and confirm.
- Wait for validation to refresh with your saved edits.
Note: Import and some export actions require saved changes. Save before leaving if you want your work to persist.
Step 6 — Download or import
Download corrected data
- Click Download CSV and choose Standard CSV or Shopify product CSV depending on your destination.
Import into your workflow
- When all errors are resolved and changes are saved, click Import now.
- Confirm whether to overwrite existing records if prompted.
